Derek Welch has broken the old outright lap record set in 2000 by Barrie Middleton at 39.4 seconds. Derek negotiated his way around this tricky circuit in 39.0 seconds shaving 0.4 seconds off the old record. This record time was set during the first leg of the Junior 250cc on Saturday 28th July 2007.
